Scouts movement to celebrate its centenary from July 31

Palakkad, July 28 (UNI) The centenary celebrations of the Scouts movement and the 150th birth anniversary of its founder Lord Baden Powell will begin with various programmes on July 31, Bharat Scouts and Guides state organsing commissioner P Balasubramanian said today.

Tree planting, training in rescue operations, door-to-door visit by scouts to provide instructions on personal hygiene and campaign against drug addiction are some of the programmes to be organised during the year-long celebrations, he told reporters.
