Reddy to slap yet another case on Kumaraswamy
Bellary, Karnataka, July 28 (UNI) Suspended BJP MLC G Janardhana Reddy, who kicked up a political storm in Karnataka by accusing Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and two of his Cabinet colleagues of receiving a bribe of Rs 150 crore from the mining lobby, today informed that he was consulting legal reports to file a contempt of court case against Mr Kumaraswamy within a few days.
Talking to reporters after appearing before the Judicial Magistrate First Class Junior Division Court here, he said Mr Kumaraswamy had recently told a private TV channel that he (Mr Reddy) was involved in a case and had paid Rs 5,000 as penalty to the district court.
Terming it as ''totally false'', he said that though the case was still pending in the district court, Mr Kumaraswamy had made the remarks, which was a clear contempt of court.
It may be noted that Mr Reddy had already filed a defamation case against Mr Kumaraswamy, Home Minister M P Prakash and Forests Minister C Chennigappa, without naming their designations, for calling him mentally imbalanced after he accused them of receiving bribe.
