Raj Thackeray organises training camp for party office-bearers
Mumbai, July 28 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray has organised a three-day workshop in political and public administration for his office-bearers at the Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodini in Uttan near here.
The workshop was inaugurated by Marathi daily 'Loksatta' Editor Kumar Ketkar yesterday.
Mr Thackeray told the panel of senior journalists and other experts to speak on people's expectations from political parties.
Mr Ketkar said people at large were disappointed with political parties because they did not represent all sections of the society.
''Political parties have to be all inclusive to gain confidence of the people. MNS can achieve what others failed through its actions.
At the same time, the new party should consider the aspirations of the younger generation,'' he felt.
'Mahanagar' Editor Nikhil Wagle said the youth were looking upto the new political party to represent them effectively, as they have been neglected by all political parties. ''The adverse image of politicians in the minds of people should be changed by political outfits like you, through your actions,'' he advised.
The MNS office-bearers went through a crash course of globalisation, electoral politics and management and use of software technology.
