Rains lash Rajasthan

Jaipur, July 28 (UNI) With the revival of monsoon in Rajasthan, the traditional Teej procession was taken out today in the Pink City amid light drizzle and pleasant weather.

The eastern and western parts of the state have been experiencing heavy rains since the past three days. Kali Sindh, Parvan and Parvati rivers are overflowing due to heavy showers in Hadoti region.

Several low-lying areas in Jaipur, Kota, and Udaipur divisions have been inundated disrupting normal life.

The state capital witnessed 19 mm rains over the past 24 hours and intermittent rains continue in the city.

The weather office recorded 160 mm rain in Choti Sadri area of Pali district, 137 mm in Alwar, 124 mm in Govindgarh, 92 mm in Kishangarh, 97 in Malkheda, 55 in Behrod, 100 mm in Nadbai in Bharatpur district, 118 mm in Arnod in Chittorgarh district, 110 in Pratapgarh and 33 mm in Mount Abu.
