Rainless day in capital, mercury rises to 31 Degree C
New Delhi, July 28 (UNI) After four days of rains, which witnessed the heaviest Monsoon showers in a single day on Wednesday, it was a rainless day in the capital today.
The maximum temperature rose to 31 Degree Celsius, from 28 Degrees yesterday. However, South Easterly winds maintained a pleasantness in the weather.
In the last four days, the capital has witnessed moderate to heavy rains with the heaviest spell of the monsoon season being witnessed on Wednesday. About 103 mm of rainfall fell on that day.
More than 150 mm of rainfall has been recorded in Delhi since Monday morning.
The weather office has predicted that the rainfall activity was likely to decrease in the coming week with the enhanced rainfall belt likely to shift over Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
Infact, just 10 mm of rainfall was recorded yesterday, a day after the season's heaviest downpour.
