PM to lay foundation stone for Pithampur auto testing track

Bhopal, July 28 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh would lay the foundation stone of the Rs 4,000 crore auto testing track in Pithampur near Indore of Madhya Pradesh.

Commerce and Industries Minister Babulal Gaur gave the information while speaking on the occasion of launch of special issue of a monthly magazine here today.

Mr Gaur said the Prime Minister had assented to come for the programme next month although a date had not been finalised yet.

He said the auto testing track would be unique facility in the country. Besides, proposals worth Rs 70,000 crore had been received from investors for the state in coming times.

The Minister pointed out that the state had great potential in industrial sector due to its central location and cheap land compared to other states.

The government had also taken several steps to woo investors.
