NSCN-IM leader killed

Kohima, July 28 (UNI) A senior member of the NSCN-IM was murdered by suspected cadres of the rival NSCN(K) after he was abducted from Mohonkhola area of Kohima town.

According to official sources here today, NSCN-IM leader Neitho Miachieo, was reportedly abducted by six to seven armed persons around 1700 hours yesterday.

On hearing the information of abduction, police search teams started the operation and later his bullet ridden body was recovered from Aradhura area of this capital town around 1900 hours. His body bore two shots, one in left eyebrow and other in the abdomen.

The slain leader belonged to Kohima village near here and presently resided in 4th Mile area of Dimapur town. His body was brought to South Police Station here and later handed over to his family members, who took him to Dimapur for the funeral rites.
