NHPC Q1 net up by 20 pc at Rs 229 crore

New Delhi, July 28 (UNI) National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC) today posted a 20 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 229 crore in the first financial quarter ended June 30, 2006, as against Rs 191 crore during the same period last year.

Similarly, the net sales of the Corporation for the quarter also went up from Rs 472 crore to Rs 496 crore, registering an increase of 5 per cent over the corresponding quarter of previous year.
