MP to launch health literacy campaign
Bhopal, July 28 (UNI) Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today issued instructions to launch health literacy campaign in Madhya Pradesh to educate the people about the importance of early diagnosis of diseases.
Assistance of voluntary organisations should be enlisted in the campaign, he said while reviewing the health schemes here.
The benefit of free transportation and treatment scheme for expectant mothers to promote institutional delivery should be provided to all needy and coverage of immunization should be increased in rural areas, Mr Chouhan said.
Issues like institutional delivery, accreditation of health institutions, filling up posts of doctors and para-medical staff, reducing maternal and infant mortality rates and preventing spread of malaria were discussed at the meeting, official sources said.
