Monsoon revived in MP
Bhopal, July 28 (UNI) The Southwest monsoon revived in Madhya Pradesh with downpours lashing several parts overnight.
Meteorological department predicted that rainfall would soak entire Madhya Pradesh courtesy an upper air cycer, built over western Uttar Pradesh and Orissa's coastal areas.
Intermittent rains lashed the state capital and Indore since last night. A rainfall of 30 mm and 19 mm was reported in the cities overnight respectively. Bhopal has received 312 mm rainfall so far, 178 mm less than the average.
Meanwhile, rivers were in spate in Jhabua, where 30 mm rainfall was recorded.
Dindori turned out to be the wettest place in the region with 123 mm rainfall overnight.
The other chief amounts of rainfall were Lanji (66 mm), Jabalpur (53mm), Patan (53mm), Baihar (35mm), Varseoni (77mm), Balaghat (91mm), Amarvada (47mm), Seoni (43mm), Deori (40mm), Pachmarhi (46mm), Mandala (21mm), Sausar (30mm), Sagar (23mm), Hoshangabad (27mm), Neemuch (46mm), Guna (46mm), Sheopurkala (22mm), Indore (19mm), Shajapur (20mm), Khajuraho (10mm), Gwalior (10mm), Damoh (10mm) and Satna (10mm).
