Mirc Electronics Q1 net up 8.68 pc to Rs 6.88 crore

Mumbai, July 28 (UNI) Mirc Electronics has posted 8.68 per cent increase in profit after tax to Rs 6.88 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006, as compared to Rs 6.33 crore for the similar quarter of the previous fiscal.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) has increased by 39.89 per cent to Rs 333.5 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as against Rs 238.39 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.

Onida Savak (OSL) was amalgamated with the company with the appointed date of March 31 last year. The BIFR order approving the scheme was filed with the registrar of companies on December 12 last year and thus the scheme became effective from that date.

In the absence of adequate information, figures for the period ended June 30 last year is without considering results of OSL for that period. Therefore, current period figures are not comparable with those of the previous period.
