Lalli to visit Indo-Bangla border, Assam

New Delhi, July 28 (UNI) A team of Home Ministry officials led by Secretary (Border Management) B S Lalli will visit Asom tomorrow to review the implementation of the Assam Accord.

Mr Lalli will be accompanied by Joint Secretary (Border Management) H S Brahma and Joint Secretary (North East) Rajiv Agarwal, a Home ministry spokesman said here today.

He said Mr Lalli would also visit the areas of the Indo-Bangla border on Sunday to review the progress of fencing work.

The spokesman denied reports that Mr Lalli's visit to Indo-Bangla border was in the light of reports of build-up of troops there.

"His visit was planned weeks before," he added.
