Kolkata experiences light showers

Kolkata, July 28 (UNI) After a spell of dry weather, Kolkatans received light showers today brigning the much-needed respite from heat.

Though the rains were short-lived, it slashed down the temperature by a couple of degrees.

Weathermen have predicted heavy downpour in the next few hours.

There was also a decrease in the humidity that came down to 92 per cent from 99.

Today's maximum temperature was 34.5 degrees Celsius and the minimum was 27 degrees Celsius.
