Kiran Bedi to head Bureau of Police Research and Development

New Delhi, Jul 28 (UNI) Celebrated police officer Kiran Bedi will head of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), the Government said today.

The 1972-batch officer, the first woman IPS officer of the country, will be Director General of the BPR&D, a Home Ministry statement said.

She had been serving as Director-General of Home Guards and Civil Defence for the last few months.
