Jyoti Basu condoles death of Phularenu Guha

Kolkata, July 28 (UNI) CPI(M) polit bureau member and former Chief Minister Jyoti Basu expressed his heartfelt condolence at the death of veteran Congress leader Phularenu Guha here today.

In a message, Mr Basu, recalling his close association with Ms Guha for a long time said they had travelled to London in the same shipping voyage for studying law. Later she was influenced by the Congress politics and joined the party.

''Recently she came to visit me at my house and I also went to visit her in the Nursing Home after she fell ill'', Mr Basu in his message said, adding that he also knew Ms Guha's husband who was a renowened educationist.
