Jammu, Jul 28: The Jammu and Kashmir government provided loans worth Rs 16.28 crore to 2295 entrepreneurs in the Doda district for setting up of different income generating units, during last year's credit plan, by various financial institutions.

Against the total target of 2,425 cases fixed for the last year, 1,707 cases were sponsored by the various agencies under government sponsored schemes of which 898 cases were sanctioned while 706 cases stood disbursed under the SGSY, PMRY, JKSES, SC, ST, OBC, SJSRY and KVI schemes.

Doda district development commissioner Pawan Kotwal informed after the district level review-cum-standing committee meeting held at Patnitop yesterday.

The meeting was attended by authorities of sponsoring agencies and financial institutions functioning in the district and other concerned officers.
