Jammu lawyers strike enters consecutive 31st day
Jammu, july 25: The work in local bench of Jammu and Kashmir High Court and other lower courts remained paralysed for 31st day today due to indefinite strike of Jammu lawyers, demanding transfer of sex scandal case in kashmir valley Meanwhile, a delegation of the Bar Association of Jammu (BAJ), led by its president Ved Raj Wazir, left today morning for Srinagar to participate in the golden jubilee function of Jammu and Kashmir High Court. Kashmir Bar Association has already announced its decision to boycott the function.
The lawyers, who started indefinite strike on June 28 against denial of right of defence and threat issued to lawyers in Srinagar, while representing their clients, have been demanding the cases of sex scandal be transferred to here or tried in any court outside the state.
