'I am following footsteps of Thackeray
Thane, Jul 28: Maharashta Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray has said that he was following the footsteps of Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray and NCP Chief Sharad Pawar in the process of forming the new party and organising its activities and growth. He announced this at a rally of his party workers last night at the Gadkari Rangayatan here and added that one who forms a new party from scratch knows the problems related with it and Shiv Sena chief and NCP chief have undergone that agony and I am also following their footsteps now.
''They have set up the party from Zero and faced all kinds of problems and I am also following the same path,'' he declared.
He further crticised the Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister R R Patil's ban on dance bars in the state and said the Government itself is dancing to the tunes of the contractors by receiving money from them.
''The process of building the party will be completed by end of August after which we will take up public interest issue and carry out agitations for them,'' he added.
The small issues of the comman man still remains unsolved and the one relating to ration cards was one among them, he said and added his party would soon launch an agitation for the same.
