Help to resolve Kashmir issue as per wishes of the people of J

Srinagar, July 28 (UNI) Chairman of the Hurriyat Conference (Omar) Mirwaiz Moulvi Omar Farooq today urged President A P J Abdul Kalam to help resolve the Kashmir issue as per the wishes of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

Addressing Friday congregation at Jamia mosque at Pahalgam, the Mirwaiz said situation in the valley is alarming and serious.

He urged Dr Kalam to use his power as the supreme commander of the armed forces to resolve the introglio in accordance with the wishes of the people of the state.

He urged him to implement idea of demilitarisation of the state by pulling out the security forces and also take serious note of Human Rights violations, custodial disappearance and killings in fake encounters.

The Mirwaiz said Muslims around the world are facing different challenges which could be fought unitedly under the guidance of Islamic teachings.
