Hearing on Self-Financing Act ends; interim order tomorrow
Kochi, July 28 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today concluded hearing on the appeals filed by the state government challenging a single judge order for admission to self-financing professional colleges in the state.
The court will pronounce interim orders on the appeals tomorrow for which there will be a special sitting.
During the argument a Division Bench comprising Chief Justice V K Bali and Mr Justice M Ramachandran said the issue reached an irreversible position as the admission process started in January this year and the new Act came into force on July two.
At the final stage of the arguments the list of those admitted by managements in 50 per cent quota have been produced and the government challenged the authenticity of the list saying that this is a typical fraud committed by the managements.
The government also submitted that these kind of practice will shake the confidence of the people in the admission process.
