God's own government in AP: YSR
Hyderabad, July 28 (UNI) Taking its cue from Kerala, which has been described from time immemorial as 'God's own country', Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today remarked that ''God's own Government is prevailing in Andhra Pradesh''.
Dr Reddy, who had returned after visiting Thiruvananthapuram for the Planning Commission's Consultative meeting, told reporters here that ''Kerala has been projecting itself as God's own country. God's own Government is functioning in Andhra Pradesh''.
Dr Reddy made this remark while asking the 'issue-less' TDP to stop making criticisms for criticism sake and ''blowing out of proportion small issues with ulterior motive of gaining political mileage''.
Expressing optimisim that Andhra Pradesh, which had been facing drought in 12 districts before the revival of the Southwest monsoon, would overcome the problem, he said ''my government enjoys God's blessings and the state will get bountiful rains''.
