FDC Q1 net up marginally by 2.27 per cent
Mumbai, Jul 28: Pharma major FDC has posted 2.27 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 30.17 crore for the quarter ended June 30, as compared with Rs 29.5 crore for the similar quarter last year.
Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) has increased by 18.92 per cent to Rs 127.97 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 from Rs 107.61 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.
FDC (formerly FairDeal Corporation) is engaged in bulk drugs, formulations and food products. It has a presence in numerous therapeutic segments such as anti-infectives, dermatologicals, respiratory, haematinics and ophthalmics.
The company's plant at Roha manufactures pharma dosage forms, food products and bulk drugs for anti-rheumatic, anti-asthmatics, opthalmic and ENT segments.
