EIH to invest Rs 1150 cr for hotel projects in India

Kolkata, Jul 28 (UNI) EIH Ltd, the flagship company of The Oberoi Group, today said it is investing Rs 1100-1150 crore for setting up hotels in Goa, Bangalore, Mumbai and Rajgarh.

"We have already invested Rs 500 crore and the rest will be invested in due course. The projects are scheduled to be completed by 2008-09," EIH Ltd chairman P R S Oberoi told reporters here.

EIH would also build a world class luxury train in collaboration with Rajastan government and the Indian Railways. The Rajastan government had approved the project and the train would ply from Delhi-Jaipur-Jodhpur-Jaisalmer-Udaipur-Ranthambore-Agra and Delhi for a seven day trip.

"The total cost of the project is Rs 60 crore. EIH has 60 per cent equity participation in the train project, which will have 30 cabins," Oberoi said.
