Duo held with 10 lakh Bangladeshi currency

Siliguri, Jul 28: Two men were arrested along with 10 lakh Bangladeshi currency in Siliguri last evening.

Khokan Kumar Saha and Amar Mandal, residents of Gangarampur in South Dinajpur district, were illegally carrying the foreign currency. They were caught by sleuths of the Central Bureau of Revenue Intellegence.

Officers of this branch said the accused were trying to smuggle the money. They said the duo had come from Tenzing Norgay Central Bus Terminus.

They were being interrogated.
