Drug inspector sent to jail in Bihar

Patna, Jul 28 (UNI) Special Vigilance Judge (in-charge) of Patna Jayant Kumar Sen today remanded a drug inspector Awadhesh Kumar Singh to judicial custody in a disproportionate assets case.

The accused was sent jail after being produced before the designated court by the officials of state vigilance investigation bureau after his arrest. The judge sent the accused to jail till August 8 next.

According to the charges, the accused had amassed wealth more than Rs. 9.55 lakh which was disproportionate to his known sources of income from 1994 to 2004. He was posted at Patna Medical College Hospital(PMCH) during the said period.
