Distt officials taking steps for release of 8 persons from Oman jail

Adilabad, Andhra Pradesh, July 28 (UNI) The Adilabad district administration have taken up the issue of release of eight people from the district languishing in a prison in Oman.

According to officials here today, S Sayanna of Sagvy village, D Gangadhar of Soan village, M Sayulu and G Chinna Sayanna of Dharmora village, K Ramulu of Pakpatla village, Abdul Waheed village, A Ganganna of Nagar village and B Yellanna of Lokeshwaram village were currently lodged in a prison at Oman.

The eight had apparently gone to Oman on visit visa and were arrested for over staying there. The district officials and Andhra Pradesh's Resident Commissioner in Delhi R P Agarwal were trying to secure their release, the officials said.
