Chief Justices of Supreme Court, arrive in Kashmir

Srinagar, July 28 (UNI) Chief Justice of Supreme Court Y K Sabharwal arrived here today to participate in the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of High Court of Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow.

He was received by Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court B A Khan and other judges at the airport.

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Bhashrat Ahmad, Additional Director General of Police, P S Gill and other senior officials of civil and police administration were also present on the occasion.

Justice Sabharwal was accompanied by other judges of the apex court, including Justice K G Balakrishna, Justice B N Agarawal, Justice B P Singh, Justie H K Sema, Justice S B Sinha, Justice A K Mathur.

Chief Justices of High courts of various states also accompanied Justice Sabharwal which included Chief Justice of Kolkota High Court V S Sirpukar, Chief Justice of Rajathan High Court S N Jha, Chief Justice Chattisgarh High Court, Justice S R nayak, Chief Justice of Delhi High Court Vijendar Jain, Chief Justice of Karnatka High Court Cyrac Joseph, Chief justice of Madras High Court A P Shah, Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh A K Patnaik. Chief Justice of Orissa High Court S Barman Roy and Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court H S Bedhi.

The other dignitaries who accompanied Justice Sabharwal included former Chief Justice of India Dr A S Anand, former Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir DR B P Saraf and B C patel, Chairman Minority Cell Justice (Retd) Rajinder Sacher, Vice Chancellor Hadayatullah, National Law University Prof Dr M K Sirivstava, senior advocate of Supreme Court Soli J Sorabjee and other judges, jurists senior counsel and SAARC Law Guests.
