CBI raids MCD officials
New Delhi, July 28 (UNI) The CBI today raided the residences of 32 persons, including 17 officials and 15 builders, in connection with its probe into allegations of corruption in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
''Searches are on at 41 places in the National Capital Region.
We have registered five cases,'' an agency official said.
Residences of six Assistant Engineers, five Executive Engineers, and six Junior Engineers of MCD were among those searched.
The CBI action followed a Delhi High Court directive to the agency to probe allegations of corruption by some MCD officials.
