Cameras to spot traffic offences in Cyberabad soon
Hyderabad, July 28: The Cyberabad Traffic Police would be installing surveillance cameras, at the traffic junction in front of Hitech City Cyber Towers, to monitor traffic rule violators.
The cameras, introduced for the first time in the state, would be linked and monitored through a computer network that would be set up either at a nearby traffic booth or at Madhapur Police Station.
The cameras, with range upto 500 metres, would imprint photos of traffic round the clock, on all the four sides of the traffic junctions.
Talking to sources, LB Nagar Traffic Assistant-Commissioner of Police (ACP) Chander Rao said, four cameras would be installed at the traffic junction. The installation work was almost over and would be operative in a day or two.
Explaining about the new network Mr Rao said ''there is also a zoom-in facility at the control room. The vehicles defying the traffic norms can be viewed''.
