BPCL sustains net loss of Rs 677 crore in Q1 due to under-recoveries
Mumbai, July 28 (UNI) The state owned Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has posted a net loss of Rs 677.3 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared net loss of Rs 431.3 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005.
Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 16095.3 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 21717.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.
As per the Consolidated results, the Group has posted a net loss (after minority interest) of Rs 537.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared net loss of Rs 300.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005. Total Income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 17308.0 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 23056.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.
