BPCL net loss increases 57%
New Delhi, July 28 (UNI) Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) today registered 57 per cent increase in its net loss of Rs 677.3 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2006, as compared to net loss of Rs 431.3 million for the same quarter last year.
The total income, however, increased 34 per cent to Rs 21,717.9 crore for Q1 FY07 from Rs 16,095.3 crore for Q1 FY06.
The Group reported a 78.7 per cent increase in net loss at Rs 537.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 300.9 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Its total income increased 33 per cent to Rs 23,056.9 crore for Q1 FY07 from Rs 17,308 crore for Q1 FY06.
