BJP demands ban on SIMI
Jaipur, July 28: The Bharatiya Janata Party's minority cell has asked to ban the Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). They demanded this at the three-day national executive meeting that began in Jaipur today.
Haider Usamani, National president of Minority Cell, inaugurated the meet. He siad, "SIMI has a hand in the increasing terrorist strikes in the country. The UPA govt is stopping short of banning it as it has a stake in the vote-bank politics.''
He also added that BJP will demonstrate against SIMI leaders and also gherao its allied organisations. The executive meeting will pass a proposal to discuss the anti-national activities of SIMI tomorrow.
Senior party leaders Murli Manohar Joshi and Venkiah Naidu will also address the meet.
