Batch of 564 pilgrims leaves for Buddha Amarnath

Jammu, July 28 (UNI) The eleven-day-long Buddha Amarnath yatra commenced here today and the first batch of 564 pilgrims left for Poonch district in Jammu and Kashmir.

''The batch, comprising 560 men and four women, left in a fleet of 13 buses and four vehicles this morning for Buddha Amarnath,'' sources said.

Meanwhile, all the arrangements for the yatra have been made.

The first batch of yatris from Jammu would reach Poonch tomorrow. The yatris will be accommodated at various places.

The Chhari Mubarak will be taken out from Dashnami Akhara in Poonch on August 7 to be taken forward to Rajpura Mandi.
