Assam Rifles technology hub inaugurated

Imphal, Jul 28 (UNI) Assam Rifles Technology Hub (ARTH) project was inaugurated by Rupinder Ghotra, wife of Maj Gen BS Ghotra, IG, Assam Rifles in Mantripukhri here.

About six projects namely past harvest technology, incense sticks, incense candle making center, aromatic and medicinal plant, bakery, community and vocational training center were part of the hub.

Ghotra said the projects were undertaken as part of the military civic action to train local community volunteers for resource management.

The endeavour was to involve local people for development of the region using local resources and improved technology by establishing ARTH. At Imphal ARTH was established earlier and subsequently the aim was to expand the intervention to other parts of the state.
