ASI remanded in judicial custody on bribery charges

New Delhi, July 28 (UNI) A city court today remanded an assistant sub-inspector of Delhi police in 14 day judicial custody for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 5000.

Patiala House Court Special Judge Indermeet Kaur Kochchar remanded Satveer Singh, 42, in judicial custody till August 11.

The CBI had yesterday arrested Singh on the Patiala House Court premises red-handed.

Singh was arrested under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

He was posted at Delhi Cantonment area.
