State Bank of India Q1 net plunges 35 pc to Rs 798 crore
Mumbai, July 27 (UNI) State Bank of India (SBI) has posted a net profit of Rs 798.57 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 1222.83 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, a fall of 34.69 per cent.
Announcing the results, the company said its total income has decreased from Rs 10742.85 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 10598.75 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.
As per the Consolidated results, the Group has posted a net profit after minority interest of Rs 963.01 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 1322.67 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005. Total Income has increased from Rs 14483.50 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 15290.27 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.
