SP 'regrets' RSS remarks and for hurting members sentiments
New Delhi, July 27 (UNI) Samajwadi Party today ''regretted'' its remark on RSS, which might have hurt the sentiments of BJP leader Sushma Swaraj and her colleagues in the Rajya Sabha.
Making a submission, SP Leader of the Party Janeshwar Mishra said he regretted yesterday's remark although he failed to understand what actually prompted Ms Swaraj and her party colleagues to raise such a huge ruckus in the House.
''She, being a wife of our Socialist colleague was like a 'bahu' (daughter-in-law) of the family. Having been used to insults and taunts of my own bahus in the house, I find happiness in swallowing her insults too,'' he said amid laughter.
Mr Mishra said he had found nothing ''unparliamentary'' in what his party member had stated in his speech but if it has hurt the BJP members, I offer my regrets although it was not a crime to state the truth in Parliament, the highest platform for people to express their views, he said without referring to yesterday's expunged remarks.
