South Africa, India to sign MoU in October
Kolkata, Jul 27 (UNI) South Africa and Indian governments will sign a memorandum of Understanding in October to jack up bilateral trade.
Speaking on the sidelines of a seminar, organised by Bengal National Chamber of Commerce and Industry here today, Counsellor (Economic) of South-African High Commission Jardine Omar said the agreement would aim to enhance trade ties in sectors like Information Technology, engineering, education, management and e-governance.
'' India would help South Africa to develop e-governance projects, help to spread IT education and management development programmes.
Simulatenously India will take South Africa's expertise in areas like food processing, '' Mr Omar said.
National Small Industries Corporation would help its counterpart South African Entreprise Development Agency in Entrepreneurship Development Programmes.
South Africa was also interested in setting up joint venture projects with West Bengal government in sectors like food processing, sectors.
