Siemens bags supplementary order for Bangalore International Airport
Mumbai, July 27 (UNI) The Industrial Solutions&Services (I&S) group of Siemens AG, Germany, and Siemens Ltd India has received a supplementary order from the Bangalore International Airport Ltd (BIAL) for installation of technical systems to support the revised plans of expanding capacities at the international airport in the first stage.
The new international airport is being built in Devanahalli, around 30 km north of Bangalore.
The new order worth around Euro 16 million is in addition to the contract bagged by Siemens in 2005 to equip the new airport with the complete electrical, airfield lighting, IT and communications systems, passenger boarding bridges and others, said a release by the Siemens Ltd here today.
