Rajkot Police team leaving tonight to take custody of Karan

Rajkot, July 27 (UNI) A police team will tonight head for Mumbai to take custody of Karan Jadeja, the son of 'Godmother' Santokben Jadeja.

Karan, the prime accused in the murder of Rekha Jadeja (32), daughter-in-law of Santokben Jadeja, was arrested by Mumbai Crime Branch Police yesterday from a Mumbai's suburb area with an illegal weapon.

A Mumbai court today remanded Karan Jadeja to police custody till August 10 in connection with the incident.

''The Rajkot Police team will be in Mumbai till the expiry of police remand to jointly interrogate Karan, along with Mumbai Police in connection with his involvement in the incident,'' Rajkot Incharge Commissioner of Police H P Singh told UNI.

The Rajkot Police would later bring Karan here for further interrogation, Mr Singh added.

Thirty-two-year-old Rekha Kandhal Jadeja was shot dead here at her residence on Kalavad road area on May 20.
