Rain likely in many places

Pune, July 27 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been vigorous over west Uttar Pradesh and active over east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, east madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

It has been subdued over Tamil Nadu.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Gangetic west bengal, Orissa, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and Kerala and at many places in Telangana.

Rain or thundershowes are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan, west Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, west Mzdhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwaada, Rayalaseema, Andaman and Nicobar islands and Lakshadweep and at few places in Bihar,Rajasthan,Gujrat State and Tamil Nadu.

Heavy to very heavy rains have occured at most places in west Uttar Pradesh. Hevy rains have occurred at most places in Haryana, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Telangana, and at many places in east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, and at few places in Orissa.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Sub-Himalayan, west bengal and Sikkim, Uttaranchal, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Rayalaseema, coastal and south interior Karnataka and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and at a few places in Assam and Meghalaya, Gangetic west Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, Marathwada, north interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in west Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over Arunachal Pradesh.
