Precious idols stolen from old temple

Nawada, July 27 (UNI) Precious idols of Lord Rama, Goddess Janki (Sita) and Lakshman, worth lakhs of rupees, has been stolen from an old temple at Asharhi village.

An FIR had been lodged at Muffasil police station by the priest, Kamla Kant Das.

The idols, which were stolen on Tuesday, were made of ashtdhatu were 300 years old.

As per the records maintained at different police stations, several precious and rare idols worth crores of rupees had been stolen during the past five years in Nawada.
