Orchid Chemicals Q1 net doubles to Rs 14.59 crore

Mumbai, July 27 (UNI) Orchid Chemicals&Pharmaceuticals Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 14.59 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 7.33 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005, an increase of 99.04 per cent.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased from Rs 170.69 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 202.49 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.

As per the Consolidated results, the Group has posted a net profit of Rs 10.83 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared to Rs 2.74 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005. Total Income has increased from Rs 188.19 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 to Rs 213.39 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2006.
