One dies of gastro, 4 admitted for suspected cholera in A'bad
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, July 27 (UNI) A four-year-old child, admitted to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), here died of gastro today, while four other children are being treated for suspected cholera.
GMCH in-charge Dean Dr K S Bhople said of the total six patients, five are children in the age group of 4 to 10. The deceased, Nitesh Vitthal Sawant (4), was one among them who was being treated for gastro. He died early this morning.
He said four were found positive for 'darting mortality' and were being treated for suspected cholera.
The children were admitted to the hospital two days ago and are residents of Gandheli village near here, he added.
Meanwhile, a health team of the state governemnt has rushed to the Gandheli village to undertake a survey and preventive measures, official sources said.
