Officer of MCD vigilance dept suspended

New Delhi, July 27 (UNI) An officer of the vigilance department of the MCD has been placed under suspension for demanding a bribe from an employee of the slums department.

Taqdir Singh, an LDC in the vigilance department was caught red handed accepting an amount of Rs 3000 as bribe from the slums department officer, who had complained about Singh demanding a Rs 30000 bribe from him.

Singh has been placed under suspension by the disciplinary authority and major RDA proceedings have been initiated against him, official sources said.
