Maoist couple surrender

Kakinada, July 27 (UNI) A Naxalite couple belonging to CPI (Maoist) surrendered before the East Godavari district Superintendent of Police B Srinivasulu, today.

According to official sources here, R Rajeswara Rao alias Raju (25) and his wife Naina Adilakshmi (23) alias Sujatha surrendered due to ill health and pressure from the family.

Both were involved in several blast cases, robberies and murder of four police constables. In all, 20 cases were registered against Rajeswara Rao while his wife was implicated in ten.

The government had declared Rs five lakh reward on their heads, sources added.
