Lankan President enacting a political drama : Ramadoss
Chennai, July 27 (UNI) Accusing Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse of ''enacting a political drama'', while bombing the Tamil areas in the island, PMK founder leader Dr S Ramadoss today cautioned India not to fall prey to it.
Talking to newspersons here, Dr Ramadoss, whose party is a key constituent of the Congress led UPA government at the Centre, said that Mr Rajapakse was a ''good actor in the political arena and India should not be decieved by his acting.'' Condemning Sri Lankan air-force jets pounding suspected Tamil tiger positions in north-eastern parts of the country, after the Tamil rebels allegedly closed the sluice gates of an irrigation tank there, the PMK leader wanted India not to fall a prey to the island government's drama.
He regretted that Indian newspapers, especially those from Tamil Nadu were not giving prominence to Sri Lankan army attacks on Tamils. Instead of focusing on the Israel attack on Labanon, they should focus on the plight of the Tamils in the island nation.
