Lalu to flag off two pairs of trains

Bankura, Jul 27 (UNI) Two pairs of new trains, one from Bankura to Hatia (Ranchi) and another from Asansol to Bokaro will be flagged off by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad on Saturday.

''It will fulfil a long standing demand of commuters,'' said an official of Adra division here today.

The Railway Minister will arrive from Kolkata after attending a function of the metro railway. He will conclude his journey at Chittaranjan on the border of neighbouring Jharkhand, after inauguration of the Chittaranjan Locomotive works-built with remote diagnostic feature, a new technology.

Both the multiple electrical mainline unit local trains will start from Bankura and will run through Adra and Purulia stations.
