Vijayawada, July 27: Income Tax Commissioner R C Pramanik has stressed on the need for publishing IT rules in regional languages for the convenience of tax payers.
Speaking at a meeting organised by the Andhra Chamber of Commerce and Industry here last night, Mr Pramanik said he would send proposals for bringing out IT rules in Telugu.
Turning to IT revenues, Mr Pramanik said the government earned Rs 6,500 crore from Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) this year making it the highest tax-yielding scheme for the exchequer.
