Guj CM to attend NAFM-2007 at Chennai tomorrow

Gandhinagar, July 27 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will attend the two-day long national conference of The National Alliance for Mission: 2007 (NAFM: 2007) to be held at Chennai from tomorrow.

Mr Modi will visit the NAFM: 2007 on an invitation given by renowned agriculture scientist Prof M S Swaminathan, an official release said here today.

Prof Swaminathan has undertaken a mission to develop 600,000 villages of the country as 'The Knowledge Centres' with the help of 140 recognised institutions and technocrats, the release said.

Later, Mr Modi will address the meeting, jointly organised by the members of Southern India Chambers of Commerce and Industries and Gujarat Government along with Industrialists and businessmen of the Tamil Nadu.

With a view to attracting the participations of Tamil industrialists and businessmen to Gujarat-Global Investors Meet-2007, the Chief Minister will also meet them at the 'Inter-Action Meet' to be held later, the release added.
